Last week my fellow bloggers and I announced the Frugal Blog Network - and this week we announce a new member, Almost Frugal! Welcome, Kelly!
And now, on to the roundup…
Almost Frugal
- Kelly wrote the great post Five Things It’s OK to Spend a Little More On, with hich I agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY. I’ve spoken before about how there are some things I will spend more money on, because it’s worth it in the long run. Not to leave anything uncovered, she continued with the post Five Things You Should Not Spend More Money On… another spot-on post. Well done!
- Kelly also wrote a great post called The ABCs of Frugality and it is also awesome.
Frugal Babe
- One of her posts really made me think. Her post entitled Credit Cards Can Be Your Friend talks about an issue I’m still battling with - whether I really want my credit cards or not. I closed most of them when I got out of debt, but recently used my to remaining ones out of convenience. Still, I can’t help but feel… if you play with snakes, you’ll eventually get bitten. I’m on the fence, but this is a good post
- She also wrote I Won’t Buy Them Either…, a post response to another post about things she won’t buy for her children because the financial logic behind them is backwards. I agree completely - a worthy read.
Not Made Of Money
- Dana wrote an excellent post on Frugal Food Shopping. In the past I’d skim over these posts because I’ve always been very frugal about my food, but as I’m now working passionately to lose weight, my health-conscious grocery shopping has been costing more and more. This post was a GREAT read on shopping. To add to the great help, she wrote Five Ways to Stay on Track With Your Spending List - her suggestions are ones I always follow. Excellent advice
- Dana also wrote the fantastic post Break the Cycle of Car Payments - all about why to pay for a car with cash, a topic I’ve written passionately about before.
Tight Fisted Mister
- Andy wrote all about his take on Dave Ramsey’s Baby Steps. I, personally, LOVE Dave Ramsey but don’t think he’s the end-all, be-all of financial advice. This was a good post. Also, Andy was ROBBED!
I’ve been robbed before and it was a trying experience. His post will give you some guidance on the things you should memorize and do to well to learn in case this ever happens to you. I’m so sorry, Andy!
Happy Sunday, everyone! I’ve got myself a blog calendar now and many posts scheduled for next week… see you then!
